DARKCon Registration and Transfer Terms and Conditions​

By registering for DARKCon, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Registration and Payment

  • Non-Refundable Registration Fees: All registration fees are strictly non-refundable.

  • Transfers: Registrations may be transferred to another attendee for a $75 transfer fee. Transfers must be completed at least 60 days before the start of the event. To initiate a transfer, complete the Transfer Registration Form on the registration page and email admin@thedarkcon.com. Transfers are only finalized upon email confirmation.

  • Payment Requirement: Registration is only confirmed upon successful payment.

 

Cancellations and Event Changes

  • Cancellation by DARKCon: In the unlikely event of conference cancellation, attendees will receive communication regarding refunds or alternative arrangements.

  • Schedule and Content Changes: DARKCon reserves the right to modify the event schedule, speakers, or other event aspects. Any changes will be communicated promptly to attendees.

 

Code of Conduct

  • Attendees must adhere to DARKCon’s Code of Conduct, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment.

 

Liability Release

By registering and attending DARKCon, you agree to release DARKCon, its officers, employees, and agents from liability for:

  • Loss, damage, or theft of personal property.

  • Injury, sickness, legal disputes, imprisonment, or death arising from event participation.
    You assume all responsibility for your physical condition and interactions during the event.

 

Media Release

By participating in DARKCon, you authorize the use of your photographs, videos, or other media taken at the event for promotional purposes without expectation of compensation, ownership, or royalties.

 

Personal Data Use

  • Data Sharing: Your personal data may be shared with third parties only as legally permitted, including partners or sponsors, to enhance your event experience.

  • Marketing: You consent to receiving marketing communications from DARKCon and its sponsors. You can opt out at any time by contacting admin@thedarkcon.com.

  • Data Retention: Personal data will be retained for up to six years for legal compliance and three years for other purposes.

 

Transfer Policy

  • Final Transfer Terms: Once a registration transfer is completed, it cannot be reversed. The original registrant’s information will be removed, and the new attendee will assume all associated rights.

  • Name Badge and Conference Items: If a transfer occurs after name badge printing deadlines, no reprints will be made, and all conference materials originally assigned will transfer to the new attendee.

 

Confidentiality and Security

DARKCon is committed to protecting your personal data. Measures are in place to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. For details, contact admin@thedarkcon.com.

 

Changes to Terms

DARKCon may update these terms periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Attendees are encouraged to review these terms regularly.
